The Vertical Aluminum Dross Treatment Machine is designed to process hot dross extracted directly from the furnace. Utilizing advanced thermal processing technology, it adds an appropriate amount of slagging agent and stirs the material to efficiently separate molten aluminum from the ash. The recovered molten aluminum flows through a reserved hole at the bottom into a dedicated collection ladle, while the remaining dross is discharged for cooling and screening. It is a highly efficient, user-friendly solution for maximizing metal yield.

Project Background:
A prominent aluminum recycling facility in Northern Italy was facing a dual challenge: soaring landfill taxes for hazardous aluminum dross and strict EU quotas on the metal content allowed in disposed waste. They needed a compact, efficient way to extract every possible drop of aluminum from their hot dross before shipping it to the waste treatment facility.

The Solution:
After evaluating traditional rotary furnaces which were too large for their existing footprint, we installed our Vertical Aluminum Dross Treatment Machine (800 Model) directly next to their melting furnace.

  1. Immediate Processing: Hot dross is transferred directly into the vertical machine. Our precise stirring technology, combined with a custom-formulated slagging agent, breaks down the oxide layer.

  2. Maximum Extraction: The system aggressively separates the molten metal, which sinks and flows out of the bottom hole, while the dry, powdery dross remains.

  3. Rapid Cooling: The discharged ash is immediately fed into our Screening-Type Cold Dross Bucket, cooling it from 800°C to 50°C in minutes, making it safe and ready for packaging.
